OCAVA-in-Rome Summer Program June 14 to July 5, 2015. Following the great success from the previous years, OCAVA announces the OCAVA-in-Rome 2015 Summer Program for singers in Rome, Italy. The carefully chosen young vocal artists from the United States and abroad will come to Rome to work closely with an internationally renowned faculty on this intensive three-week program that combines daily voice lessons, master classes, lectures/workshops, group discussions, public concerts, and Italian language study. The Kristin Lewis Foundation Vocal Scholarship Auditions provide financial awards to young singers who demonstrate the potential for careers in opera performance. Singers will also have the opportunity to become coached in singing technique, diction, interpretation, style, and presentation with professionals in their fields. One singer will be eligible to receive a Stipendium covering all expenses for one week of vocal training in Vienna, Austria. Four singers will eligible to receive financial awards toward their professional pursuits.

The Manhattan Opera Studio is holding auditions for its upcoming 2015 Summer Festival in Manhattan, New York. The objective of this program is to train young singers through real opera performances, building their artistic skills, their stage experience, and exposing them to managers and professionals of the operatic world. All the selected singers will spend one month of intensive rehearsals, coachings and masterclasses with some of the most prestigious professionals in the field, concluding with a final performance of a fully staged opera with orchestra. The Manhattan Opera Studio uses the most advanced streaming and recording technology, increasing the exposure of the young artists broadcasting internationally all of their performances. The goal of the Miami Opera Institute is to provide every singer with the opportunity to study and perform a role in a full opera production with orchestra. Participants receive vocal lessons, masterclasses and coachings by the festival's faculty in order to prepare them for their upcoming performances. In conjunction with the Vocal and Coaching Staff, participants will have the opportunity to work under World Renowned Conductors and Stage Directors in a professional environment during Stagings, Sitz Probes, Orchestral Techs and Performances. 2015 Productions will include Mozart-Don Giovanni, Britten- Albert Herring, Massenet- Cendrillon, and Humperdink- Hansel and Gretel. For singers and pianists in residence in Florence, Italy: the opportunity to immerse oneself in the study of Bel Canto, a style of singing and playing rich in vocal and orchestral traditions handed down from generation to generation. Participants study with internationally renowned faculty who perform, teach, and coach at the leading opera houses of the world. June 29– July 25, 2015. Bel Canto Institute features two tracks: the Youth Division Summer Program (ages 15–17) and the Summer Program (ages 18+). The International Young Artists Project is a month-long intensive (June 20-July19) based in Monte San Savino, Italy, that explores opera, musical theater and art song. Pucciniʼs SUOR ANGELICA and Rossiniʼs IL BARBIÈRE DI SIVIGLIA will be presented with orchestra under the baton of Maestro Federico Bardazzi of the Maggio Musicale in Florence. Perform also in nearby towns of Cortona and Arezzo, and receive lessons and coachings on roles/music prepared. The Opera Columbus Cooper-Bing International Vocal Competition discovers, recognizes, and encourage young operatic talent through cash prizes and audition experience. Prizes total nearly $10,000, and applications are now being accepted through YAP Tracker. The deadline to apply is February 22.
