The young artists admitted will have the opportunity to study with well-known artists and professionals of the field and to follow daily the different phases of opera production at the Opera di Firenze. Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino – Opera di Firenze and partner Institutions may offer participation in operas and concerts, in title or cover roles. From 5 - 12 September 2015 the International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch, in collaboration with Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, is organizing a Summer School on Russian operatic repertoire in the Netherlands. 16 singers will be selected to take part in the intensive week of training. Participants receive private coachings and group lessons, with in-depth training in vocal technique, interpretation and Russian language. Internationally-renowned musicians have been engaged as masters: soprano Elena Vasilyeva, mezzo-soprano Larisa Dyadkova, baritone Sergei Leiferkus, opera coach/pianist Lyuba Orfenova. Last Chance to join the Prague Summer Nights Festival in Prague! Casting for Masetto, Commendatore, chorus and covers for all major roles in Don Giovanni, directed by Sherrill Milnes, and performed fully staged with orchestra at the Estates Theatre, where Mozart conducted the premier in 1787. Casting for roles in Suor Angelica, directed by Cynthia Lawrence, performed at the St. Simon and Jude church in Prague, where Mozart and Haydn performed. Casting for an opera gala at the Estates Theater, and for a concert featuring music from Figaro, performed with the orchestra at Smetana Hall. Working to address a long-standing career issue in the opera world, The Dallas Opera is delighted to announce the launch of a unique, new residential program designed to provide training and career support for distinctively talented women conductors. Female conductors age forty and younger, as well as accomplished women singers, opera coaches and accompanists, and instrumentalists with established careers seeking a new career at the podium, are encouraged to apply.
