This online competition will be held in Dec. 2024-Feb. 2025, culminating in an online Q&A and live-streamed awards ceremony on Feb. 15, 2025. UPPER DIVISION: Four (4) Winners - $5,000 each. Camerata Bardi International Academy invites emerging opera singers to apply for its 2025 immersive program. This two-stage experience combines hands-on workshops, mock auditions, masterclasses, and fully-staged performances. Stage One features in-person and online sessions, while Stage Two focuses on rehearsals and performances in Europe and the US. Join FIO MONDO for our 2025 festival in Urbania, Italy, where we will present fully staged productions of La Bohème; Le nozze di Figaro; Il matrimonio segreto; Twenty-Four, or the Cure for Love; and Le gare generose. Singers cast in Le gare generose, which will be produced in collaboration with the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini, will also be considered for the Foundation's young artist program. Additional performances include recitals, concerts, and an opera scenes program. Participants will study Italian intensively, work with Italian coaches, and have lessons with our renowned faculty. Masterclass clinicians for 2025 are Clay Hilley and Eva Mei. Collaborative artists, assistant directors, and assistant conductors are also invited to apply.

Applications will close at the end of this week for Mascarade Opera, an opera training and performance programme at the Mascarade Opera Foundation in Florence, Italy for exceptionally talented young singers and répétiteurs. Training provision is carefully structured around performance opportunities; through the programme's collaborations with major operatic houses across Europe, artists enjoy the unique prospect of translating what they have learnt into professional practice on stage. Places on the programme are entirely funded with artists receiving tuition, maintenance and accommodation grants equivalent to entry-level salaried positions in the industry.
