Deadline approaching!  The Saengerbund Awards are given each year to young singers who have demonstrated the potential for a professional performing career.  All entries are evaluated by professional casting directors, coaches, and conductors from opera companies around the US and in Germany.  The quality of the video submissions is of high importance in the process, and the singer's German diction is a major component of the evaluation.  Creative selections are appreciated, and they do help the applicants stand out from the preliminary pool of entries.  German operetta is a particularly good source for young singers.  The Lied should come from the standard repertoire.  Either selection can be a German translation.   Questions:  germansinging2025@gmail.com
