In its first edition, Cascais Opera had a staggering 213 applications from all over the world, with 30 selected singers that came to Portugal to perform in person. The experience of the unique environment of Cascais, as well as the opportunity of singing for our distinguished panel of jury members impacted many of our contestant’s professional paths for the better, not only those that were awarded prizes but many others who were offered opportunities as a result of their participation.

Prizes and Awards 2025
- Grand-Prix Égide - 10,000 Euros. The winner of this prize will also receive a contract with São Carlos National Theatre
- 1st Prize Female Voice ‘Tereza Berganza’ - 7,500 Euros
- 1st Prize Male Voice ‘Maurício Bensaude’ - 7,500 Euros
- 2nd Prize - 5,000 Euros
- 3rd Prize - 3,500 Euros
- Best Singer under 25 Award – 2,500 Euros
- Stage Skills Award - 1,500 Euros and contract for a presentation at Serbian National Theatre – Novi Sad
- Audience Award - 1,500 Euros
- Finalist Award - 1,000 Euros. This prize will be awarded to each finalist who has not been awarded any monetary prizes.
- Contract for a presentation at Serbian National Theatre – Novi Sad
- Contract with the Festival Internacional de Música de Marvão – 2026
- Contract with the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras
