Since 2025, GREVE OPERA ACADEMY (4-week residency) offers the opportunity to study & perform roles in staged productions with a professional orchestra. The 2025 edition will feature a full production of a double-bill of PAGLIACCI & GIANNI SCHICCHI, and other concerts. The Academy, developed & offered by internationally acclaimed faculty, includes daily voice lessons, staging sessions, masterclasses & Italian language classes. Performances will take place in Greve, Figline Valdarno, Empoli, Florence, & possibly other locations. The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $50,000 in awards this year, including a $15,000 First Place award and the $10,000 Facing Forward Award, in honor of the Jensen Competition’s 25th Anniversary. The 2025 competition takes place in New York City May 12-17. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and judges.
