Apply Today for the 2025 Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition

The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition, and 2025 is our 25th anniversary. As always, singers compete for their share of $40,000 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award. In addition, 2025 Jensen finalists compete for the 25th anniversary award, dubbed the Facing Forward Prize – to be awarded for the finest performance of an aria composed in the 21st century.

The 2025 competition takes place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in New York City May 12-17. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive, with professional accompanists and preliminary judges. Twelve finalists are chosen to perform before the Finals Judges who are distinguished in the world of opera. After the competition, finalists may request feedback from the judges.
