The International Vocal Artists Academy of Payerbach is calling all operatic singers who want to master bel canto technique with internationally renowned baritone Maestro Chernov and world class expert of belcanto technique Maestra Olga Toporkova. From 12th of July until 1st of August - 3 weeks of intensive daily training in technique, interpretation, acting, posture, 2 open master classes, 2 concerts and thousands of memories in this life-changing experience in the middle of Austrian alps! The 12th annual James Toland Vocal Arts Competition, a weekend of master classes and competition finals, will be held on July 19-20, 2025. We welcome exceptional singers in genres from opera, oratorio and art songs, to jazz, musical theater and cabaret standards. There are no specific age, education or residency requirements. Two levels of competition based on vocal experience are offered. Awards total over $40,000, including a top prize of $10,000, and ALL finalists (5 in each tier) receive a cash award. Applications will be accepted only until APRIL 4, 2025.

Two Wilkinson Young Singers Awards — a first prize of $5,000 and an encouragement award of $1,000 — are awarded annually. Additionally, two first-prize winners will collaborate on a joint recital sponsored by WYSF. The recitals are held biennially in the Boston area (https://www.wilkinsonfund.org/events).  The application process is open to all singers between the ages of 20 - 30 who reside in the Boston area and are striving to make a career in music.
