The Modern Opera Studio 2019: Time to Shine!

THIS IS YOUR STAGE: TIME TO SHINE! THE MODERN OPERA STUDIO This summer selected singers will receive training in our summer program and perform at the historical Teatro Fenaroli in our production of DON GIOVANNI and in a GALA CONCERT in LANCIANO. All roles are open for casting. The Modern Opera Studio takes place from August 26, 2019 to September 8, 2019. Registration closes on July 20, 2019. Upon completion of our program, singers will receive a certificate and depending on your University or Conservatory's policy, singers may be able to receive class credits. Deadline 4/15: New York Dramatic Voices' Fall 2019 Workshop!

Directed by Anthony Laciura (Metropolitan Opera, HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire's, and Netflix's 'Like Father') New York Dramatic Voices' Fall Workshop is a 4-week program in the heart of Manhattan. Participants will take part in coachings, acting and movement classes, and masterclasses given by respected professionals in the field. The program culminates in an open concert in New York City of staged scene selections on October 5, 2019. Class sizes are limited to give each singer quality instruction with our coaches and masterclass technicians. Video Submissions through 4/15: Hawaii Performing Arts Festival 2019

Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is currently accepting video submissions on a rolling basis through April 15, 2019. All interested artists should apply via YAP Tracker. Opportunities remain for both leading and supporting roles in Bizet/Brook’s La Tragédie de Carmen, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Sondheim’s Company. Scholarships and work-study positions are available to qualifying applicants. All artists will perform a role in one of the MainStage productions (accompanied by a professional orchestra), receive lessons, coachings, and classes in acting, movement, and audition preparation. The 53rd International Vocal Competition LiedDuo: Apply now!

The 53rd International Vocal Competition LiedDuo is held 20-24 November 2019 in 's-Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands) and involves Lied repertoire for singer-pianist duos. The International Jury includes prominent musicians such as soprano Dame Felicity Lott (president), mezzo-soprano Jard van Nes, baritone Thomas Oliemans, pianists Graham Johnson and David Selig, and programmer Mirjam Wijzenbeek (Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam).
