Calling all Singers and Collaborative Pianists! GSI Arts Foundation is delighted to announce our upcoming opera Training Program, Festival and Competition in the beautiful city of Setúbal, Portugal from August 5 - 18, 2019! Housing and breakfast included, please inquire about limited scholarships! Our intensive program includes a music staff of world renowned coaches and voice teachers, from the Metropolitan Opera, The Salzburg Mozarteum, Opéra de Paris and St. Petersburg Russia, among others. The program will provide numerous performance opportunities, such as concerts in historical churches of the city, as well as a concert of staged opera scenes. The repertoire for the opera scenes and concerts shall be tailored specifically to suit the talents of our singers.

Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival is still accepting applications and is offering scholarships and grants to participants. There are two work-study possibilities available to baritones and basses also along with scholarships. To those singers not interested in singing roles, MOSF offers a shorter program starting on July 7. Teachers, coaching staff and conductors comprised of artists from ROH Covent Garden, with guest coach David Gowland - director of the Jette Parker Young Artists Program at ROH Covent Garden. Repertoire 2019: Don Giovanni, Carmen, La Rondine, and concerts. Fully staged with orchestra. Single room, Italian class, recitative training, tourism in Sicily, Sicilian cuisine, and many opportunities to enrich your artistic and personal life, creating lasting friendships.

Final call for lead roles at the Varna International Opera Academy in Varna, Bulgaria Varna International Opera Academy 2019 will take place in Varna, Bulgaria, June 2019, featuring fully-staged opera productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, and Bernstein’s Candide. Available roles: Angelica in Suor Angelica. Dorabella and Don Alfonso in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte. Lauretta, Zita and Schicchi in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. Soprano Soloist in Mozart's Great Mass in C minor. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the Metropolitan Opera’s own Maestro Gregory Buchalter. Spring Into Art Song Festival 2019: The Art Song Preservation Society of New York (ASPSNY) is pleased to announce auditions for its 2019 art song festival hosted by The Manhattan School of Music featuring master classes and recitals with prominent guest artists and specialists of song.
