For 43 seasons, The Ohio Light Opera has dedicated itself to the exploration and production of the best of traditional operetta and musical theater. This includes the complete Gilbert and Sullivan repertoire, as well as the recognized treasures from the Viennese, French, Hungarian, German, and American repertoire. The 30 performing artists who make up the vocal ensemble are chosen for their abilities to perform and work at the highest level in all disciplines demanded by the company’s specialized repertoire. Our 2023 audition process includes BOTH in-person and virtual audition opportunities. The application deadline for both options is October 23rd.
The Verbier Festival Academy’s Atelier Lyrique is unique among voice programmes in Europe and its alumni are among some of today’s most sought after young performers. Applications are accepted until 4 November 2022 for the Atelier Lyrique's next session, which will take place from 9 to 31 July 2023. Singers are accepted for either or both of the Atelier’s Opera and/or Song Programmes. The featured opera for 2023 is Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress, conducted by James Gaffigan.
