"Fabbrica" is the Young Artist Program of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The participants are trained on the job through coachings, masterclasses, auditions, rehearsals, meetings with contemporary artists, new productions and assistance to the creative teams. The program is open to: 8 singers, 2 répétiteurs, 1 stage director, 1 set designer, 1 costume designer and 1 lighting designer. The fourth edition starts in January 2023 and ends in July 2024. Each participant will receive an overall scholarship of 19000€, to be paid out monthly. Boston University Opera Institute auditions for a lower male voice - baritone, bass-baritone, bass. Auditions will be held on June 9th, 2022, from 12-2pm in Boston for BARITONES interested in Fall 2022 enrollment. The Opera Institute is an intensive, highly selective two-year performance-based training program for emerging operatic artists. Each Institute member receives a full tuition scholarship, and graduates from Boston University College of Fine Arts with a Performance Diploma in Opera. Singers have the opportunity to participate in two large-scale productions with a full orchestra per year, a Fringe Festival of significant one-act operas, and outreach programs. 8th Elizabeth Connell Prize International Singing Competition The 2022 Elizabeth Connell Prize is open to professional Sopranos and Mezzo Sopranos of all nationalities aged 25-34. The competition will be held online in 2022 and offer up to 8 cash prizes valued at AUD $5,000 - $10,000 with a total prize money of AUD $60,000 on offer. The competition's aim is to foster aspiring young dramatic female voices who show the potential to perform the more dramatic repertoire. Entrants do not have to currently be a dramatic soprano or mezzo. All repertoire is accepted, especially the lyric repertoire which is highly encouraged for this age group.
