2015 will be a very exciting season for Chicago Summer Opera. Season will include Suor Angelica (Puccini) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten). All principal, supporting and cover role assignments will be cast from our auditions and each program participant will receive a role. Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program for singers and pianists provides an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend nine months with Utah Opera developing professional skills through Mainstage performances with Utah Opera and Utah Symphony, coachings, workshops, yoga, and master classes. In Verviers’ great singing competition tradition, SummerFest Europe will hold its second international singing competition final at the Conservatoire de Verviers, Belgium, in December 2014. The prizes include air-fares, accommodation and participation fees in a programme that offers individual voice instruction and coaching with leading professionals, group and masterclasses, and the opportunity to perform in SummerFest productions. The deadline for Opera Saratoga’s Young Artist Program, which includes opportunities for singers, pianists/coaches, conductors and directors, is this Friday, October 17th. Three operas will make up the company’s 2015 Summer Festival: La Cenerentola (Rossini), Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), and the world premiere of The Long Walk (Beck).
