HGO’s Young Artists’ Vocal Academy was established in 2011 to work specifically with singers at the undergraduate level. The week–long course is held on-site at HGO, and all fees, room and board is covered by the opera company. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2013, and auditions are by recording only.
The Florentine Opera Studio provides season-long, comprehensive artist-in-residence employment for talented singers beginning their professional careers, while serving the mainstage, education and outreach goals of the Florentine Opera Company. The deadline to apply is February 8, 2013 and auditions will be in Milwaukee in March.

What could be better than a summer full of quality vocal instruction in one of the most beautiful cities in European cities? The Florence Voice Seminar application is now up, and live auditions will be scheduled in New York, Philadelphia or Boston; recorded auditions will also be accepted.
We are very pleased to welcome Hubbard Hall Opera Theater as the newest organization to use our application service. Auditions will be held in New York City and Niskayuna, NY. Centre for Opera Studies in Italy closes their extended deadline today, the CoOPERAtive program closes tomorrow and OperaWorks closes their live audition deadline on the 17th. The Toronto Summer Music Festival and Academy is now accepting applications for the Chamber Music Institute and Art of Song Programs. The deadline to apply is February 15, and auditions are conveniently made by recording. Apply now!
For 2013, ECO’s Artist Institute will focus more on individual coaching opportunities rather than a fully-staged production. The ten-day Vocal Intensive will contain arias and scenes performances, as well as a symphony concert including singers from both the Institute’s participants and professional faculty. The deadline to apply is March 18, 2013, so get your recording in soon!
The 6th Annual Taos Opera Institute will be held in beautiful Taos Ski Valley, NM from June 1-July 1, 2013. Applications are now being accepted for live auditions in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and New York, or by recording. The final deadline is February 18, but the live audition locations are held in advance of that date, so be sure to apply early!
