Interested in auditioning for The Brava! Opera Theater's production of Turn of the Screw but unable to fly to Oregon for a live audition? The company is accepting video auditions through YAP Tracker's online application service. The deadline to apply is May 28 and the company is hearing sopranos only (for the roles of the Governess and Miss Jessel).

Spearheaded by Artistic Director William Hobbs, Opera Slavica is a professional opera company and a young artist summer training program dedicated to Czech and Russian repertoire. New this season for their summer 2013 workshop: a number of tuition-free roles are now available! The application for their is now open, and the deadline to apply is April 12. Opera Experience Southeast is the newest organization to use our application service this season, and we are pleased to welcome them aboard! This program offers successful applicants a paid opportunity to perform at least one complete operatic role in one or more staged public performances in the Rock Hill, SC and Charlotte, NC area. Auditions will be held in New York this April, and the deadline to apply is March 27.

The Opera Birmingham Vocal Competition will be held again this year in May 2013, and the application is now live on YAP Tracker. An early bird discounted application fee will be offered through March 22, and a final deadline of April 19 applies. The Competition is open to singers who are currently permanent residents of the United States of America, and prizes range from $1,000 through $3,500.

Local to Lancaster, PA and looking for opportunities to perform in the area? Applications for the Opera Lancaster Associates Vocal Performance Award Competition are now open. The deadline to apply is April 10 and the competition date is April 20.

Applications for musical theatre perfomers for the Glimmerglass Festival's Young Artists Program are being accepted now through February 27, 2013. If you are granted an audition, the audition will be held Monday, March 4, in New York City. Members of the Young Artists Program sing principal and supporting roles, cover all roles in mainstage productions (except where noted), sing in the chorus, are presented in concerts and cabarets, receive weekly coachings, participate in master classes, and perform in the community. Young Artists will also have the privilege of working with 2013 Artists in Residence, Nathan & Julie Gunn. Apply today!

The Palm Beach Opera Young Artist Program is a stepping stone to a successful career as an opera singer for post-graduate and emerging singers. During their five-month residency in Palm Beach they develop and polish essential stagecraft and performance skills, aided by musical and career guidance from Palm Beach Opera’s experienced artistic staff. The application is now live and the deadline is February 15, 2013. Auditions will be held in March in New York.
