The Young Artists’ Programme equips singers and pianists with essential musical, artistic, and practical skills needed for a successful opera career. 9-month programme: Based in London and delivered with the UK's six national opera companies providing high-level performance, residencies, and networking opportunities. Fully funded: Free training, £850 monthly stipend, bursary up to £770, £600 for lessons/auditions, and £260 travel fund. The Fellowship of the Song: May 12-17, 2025. Join Cincinnati Song Initiative for a week-long program for five singers and five pianists that provides an inspiring, open, and deeply enriching environment to express themselves and grow in their artistry among the backdrop of a robust song festival. The Fellowship of the Song aims to promote and innovate the song genre by empowering the next generation of twenty-first century artists who will carry the mantle of song in the United States and throughout the world. In June and July 2025, Opera North offers three imaginative productions with orchestra — Rachel Portman’s The Little Prince, Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and Leigh's Man of La Mancha — performed at our outdoor home, the stunning Blow-Me-Down Farm in Cornish, NH. These productions feature our Resident Artists in all roles whenever possible. Reviewers called last season's productions "unlimited fun" and "beautifully sung," and noted "fine voices and orchestra, expertly conducted by Louis Burkot, Opera North's long-time Artistic Director. Opera North offers both in-person in Boston, Chicago, Bloomington, Dallas, New York City, and Atlanta as well as virtual auditions. Our recently announced 2025 season includes: Carousel (Rogers and Hammerstein, 1945), Brigadoon (Lerner and Loewe, 1947), Tip-Toes (Gershwin, 1925), Patience (Gilbert and Sullivan, 1881), Bittersweet (Noël Coward, 1929), and The Cousin from Batavia (Eduard Künneke, 1921). All are fully produced with orchestra and performed in English. Auditions are available either in-person or virtually and OLO offers both professional and young artist contracts. All offers are paid and include housing for the duration of the contract.
In collaboration with Colorado College, Opera Theatre of the Rockies presents the 2025 Vocal Arts Festival. The Festival is open to all serious students of voice. Participants will receive 3 weeks of intensive training in vocal and dramatic arts with emphasis on performance from July 12 to August 2. Our alumni are singing all over the world, from the Metropolitan Opera to Tokyo and all companies in between. Come and join us for a summer in the mountains of Colorado.
