We instruct, mentor, and support an emerging generation of artists to discover the essence of opera and song through the prism of language, history, and culture. It is  situated in a 19th century converted sail factory in the heart of Oslo. While being a student at the Opera Academy, you will have unlimited access to its outstanding facilities and resources, which include: • 8 stages • 1 main stage with an orchestra pit • 12 practice rooms with pianos, available 7 days a week As an opera director student you will have the opportunity to study 6 month with Stefan Herheim at Theater an der Wien.

Preliminaries are held in New York City on February 17, 18 & 19, 2025.  Finals are in front of a live audience (and live streamed!) on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 4PM.  For more details visit our website at www.georgeandnoralondon.org.  Now in it's 53rd year, the George and Nora London Foundation competition is open to U.S. and Canadian citizens only.  You will need to provide a three minute audio or video clip of you performing as well as a reference letter from someone who has worked with you within the last six months.  There is no fee to apply and if chosen to sing for us, a pianist is provided at no cost. We invite you to partake in the inaugural season of Tokyo Opera Studio, where we will explore Mozart's masterpieces against the backdrop of Tokyo's urban vibrancy.
