The application for Pittsburgh Festival Opera's 8th Annual Mildred Miller International Voice Competition is closing in 5 Days! Don’t miss the chance to compete for cash prizes. Winners are also offered an optional and negotiable contract to sing an appropriate solo role and other performance opportunities during Pittsburgh Festival Opera's summer season. We welcome all voice types to apply. Those possessing dramatic voices suitable for Wagner are especially encouraged. Palm Beach Opera's  Young Artist and Apprentice Artist Programs: Deadline 9/25!

Launch your career in paradise with PALM BEACH OPERA. The application deadline for our 2020 Benenson Young Artist and Apprentice Artist Programs is TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25. These 6-month professional residencies offer transformative performing opportunities and intensive training with an outstanding resident staff and guest faculty. All artists work with distinguished guest coaches Craig Rutenberg, Anthony Manoli, Danielle Orlando, and Rachelle Jonck; voice teachers Stephen King and Elizabeth Futral; and resident coaches Greg Ritchey, Tim Cheung, and Ben Malensek. Benenson Young Artists sing supporting roles and cover lead roles alongside our international casts, while Apprentice Artists perform throughout our beautiful community in concerts.

Opera Saratoga 2019: Deadline extended to 9/20 due to storms

Due to the severe storms on the east coast, Opera Saratoga has extended its Young Artist Program application deadline until Thursday, September 20th. Any artist who is displaced due to the storms may contact Laurie Rogers at lrogers@operasaratoga.org after they are able to safely return home. Opera Saratoga's 2019 season includes 3 operas: LA FILLE DU RÉGIMENT (Donizetti/Vernoy de St.Georges & Bayard); HÄNSEL UND GRETEL (Humperdinck/Wette) and the World Premiere of ELLEN WEST (Ricky Ian Gordon/Frank Bidart). Principal, supporting and cover role assignments are available for singers, along with opportunities for pianists/coaches, conductors and directors. Artists receive professional development opportunities throughout the summer, and will be featured in concerts and masterclasses. Auditions in NYC, Houston and Cincinnati.

The Opera Naples Academy 2018-19: Apply now!

DEADLINE EXTENDED & NO APPLICATION FEE: Sarasota Opera Apprentice Artists Auditions DEADLINE EXTENDED through September 4. Sarasota Opera in Florida is accepting applications for its 2019 Apprentice Artists Program (January 4, 2019 through March 25, 2019) for September auditions in Sarasota and New York. The company performs “Turandot,” “The Magic Flute, “and “Nabucco,” and a double bill of “Rita” (Donizetti) and “Susanna’s Secret” (Wolf-Ferrari). Apprentices sing chorus and take part in concerts, classes, and coachings. Some cover roles available. These are paid positions with shared housing in new facility.
