DEADLINE EXTENDED through September 4. Sarasota Opera in Florida is accepting applications for its 2019 Apprentice Artists Program (January 4, 2019 through March 25, 2019) for September auditions in Sarasota and New York.

The company performs “Turandot,” “The Magic Flute, “and “Nabucco,” and a double bill of “Rita” (Donizetti) and “Susanna’s Secret” (Wolf-Ferrari). Mainstage conductors and stage directors are: Victor DeRenzi, Marcello Cormio, Jesse Martins, Stephanie Sundine, Martha Collins, Mark Freiman, and JJ Hudson. Apprentices sing chorus and take part in concerts, classes, and coachings. Some cover roles available. These are paid positions with shared housing in new facility.
