Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program for singers and pianists provides an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend nine months on a paid residency with Utah Opera developing professional skills through mainstage performances with Utah Opera and Utah Symphony, coachings, workshops, yoga, and masterclass sessions. Resident Artists also travel throughout the state to perform in-school presentations and teach students about the art of opera. Opera Academy at Teatro Luciano Pavarotti in Modena: Master Class for opera singers. Description of Course: The course will take place at the Theatre and will host master classes with outstanding singers like Mariella Devia, Michele Pertusi and Nicola Martinucci with more topics from stage acting throughout artistic administration. All students will take part to workshops leading to performances of opera excerpts. Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions 2019: Apply now!

Young opera singers from across the United States, Canada, and for the first time, Mexico, are eligible to compete for $15,000 cash prizes and receive feedback from top industry professionals as part of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Auditions begin at the District level, followed by 12 Regional Finals. From the Regions, Semi Finalists will be chosen to compete in New York with piano on the Met stage on March 24, 2019. Finalists will then perform at the Grand Finals Concert on Sunday, March 31, 2019, accompanied by the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra conducted by Carlo Rizzi. The 2019 VOCAL INSTITUTE is the leading source to prepare for a 21st century career in voice and vocal piano. Expert teaching artists collaborate and mentor participants to prepare them for on-stage opportunities, from a fully-staged opera production to public masterclasses. All performance opportunities are centered on excellent vocal technique and immersion in the dramatic process. 2019 opera production is Jennifer Higdon's COLD MOUNTAIN, offering major/supporting roles in all voice types. The Marilyn Horne Song Competition awards a singer and pianist each $5,000 and an international recital tour including London, UK. Scholarships available: New York Dramatic Voices' Winter Intensive 2019

Founded by Anthony Laciura, (credits include Metropolitan Opera, HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire', and Netflix's 'Like Father') New York Dramatic Voices' Winter Intensive is a 2-week program from January 7-19, 2019 in the heart of Manhattan. During this time, participants will take part in coachings, acting and movement classes, and masterclasses given by respected professionals in the field. The program culminates in an open concert in New York City of staged scene selections on January 19, 2019. We offer this program as a safe environment to develop the skills of the emerging artist. Class sizes are limited to give each singer quality instruction with our coaches and masterclass technicians. Masterclasses to include: Michael Chioldi, Sondra Kelly. Immersive and transformative program: Teatro Nuovo 2019

LEAD ROLES AVAILABLE IN TRANSFORMATIVE PROJECT In 2018 Teatro Nuovo launched a new venture to revivify opera’s most beloved repertory: that of Italy in the Romantic era. Besides immersion in the vocal style, ornamentation, and technical challenges of Bel Canto opera, Teatro Nuovo offers Italian language courses and collaboration with a period instrument orchestra. Teatro Nuovo seeks qualified Bel Canto singers to join the transformation. The 2019 program runs June 3-July 21 and culminates in performances of Rossini's La gazza ladra and Bellini's La sonnambula.
