The Baroque Vocal Workshop is a new initiative from the Heifetz International Music Institute expressly for aspiring and emerging professional singers who wish to deepen their understanding of Baroque music and style, through the prism of the Heifetz Institute’s renowned instrumental teaching and unique Heifetz Performance and Communication Training method, which marries world-class vocal and instrumental instruction with experiential classes in Movement, Drama, Public Speaking, and other methods designed to developed the physical, gestural and verbal communication skills and leadership capacity both on and off stage. Accepting applications for Taos Opera Institute 2019. This program is divided into 4 weeks, each week you will work on different language with daily one-on-one sessions with a coach and a voice teacher from all over the country. Bay View Music Festival offers four distinct opportunities for collegiate and post-collegiate singers interested in honing their craft in a supportive, warm, and collegial environment in Petoskey, MI including: a unique art song/opera scenes/recording seminar, mainstage musical production of West Side Story, fully staged production of Mozart's Die Zauberflote with orchestra in original language, and a week-long intensive study of the American Spiritual with Dr. Everett McCorvey. Programs are tuition-based but generous scholarships available, as well as opportunities for church gigs.

In 1977, the Oratorio Society of New York inaugurated an annual Solo Competition designed to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give talented young singers an opportunity to advance their careers. The Competition has become international in scope and well-known in the music world, and is the only major competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing. $22,000 in cash prizes. Age Limit 40 years – must be born after Jan. 1, 1979. Open to singers who are early in their oratorio career.

Applications are being accepted for summer 2019. To be eligible for the Boston Conservatory Opera Intensive at Valencia, you must be a singer who is currently an undergraduate student or who has recently completed your undergraduate study. It is not necessary to have studied voice or opera as an undergraduate, but you should be serious about opera study and have at least three arias, prepared in the original languages, in your repertoire.
