Founded by Metropolitan Opera Assistant Conductor Joan Dornemann and Metropolitan Opera Conductor Paul Nadler in 1986, the International Vocal Arts Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding and training the most talented young opera singers around the world. Whether you are a young singer with boundless potential, or a career ready performer looking for extra polish, IVAI is designed with you in mind to help push you to the next level. IVAI is a ten day intensive program providing private voice lessons, private coachings, and training in vocal technique, dramatic presentation, acting, language and diction, as well as opportunities to sing in masterclasses, concerts, and fully staged productions.
