Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program -- Only two weeks left to apply! Take advantage of our outstanding performance and training opportunities in one of the most spectacular settings in North America! Utah Opera's Resident Artist Program for singers and pianists provides an integral step between graduate studies and a career. Participants spend nine months developing professional skills through mainstage performances with Utah Opera and Utah Symphony, individualized training, workshops, and masterclass sessions. Artists also travel throughout the state performing in-school and community presentations that educate and inform audiences about the operatic art form. *Live and virtual audition options available*

Join Cincinnati Song Initiative for a week-long program for five singers and five pianists that provides song lovers with an inspiring, open, and deeply enriching environment to express themselves and grow in their artistry. The Fellowship of the Song aims to promote and innovate the song genre by empowering the next generation of twenty-first century artists who will carry the mantle of song in the United States and throughout the world. The Fellowship is a tuition-free program. Selected Fellows will be provided with a travel reimbursement up to $500, a daily stipend for food and fun, and single-room luxury apartment accommodations. The International Meistersinger Akademie (IMA) offers emerging artists an exceptional environment of excellence in the study of opera and concert repertoire. Our prestigious staff and guest professors bring their expertise to the vocal and interpretive development of the young professional.  Central to IMA are the auditions held with approximately 30 agents, promoters, opera directors, casting directors, and festival managers from Europe and the USA.  Individual feedback is given to each young artist, thus providing the networking and professional contacts important to the profession. IMA 2024 faculty includes Edith Wiens, Malcolm Martineau, Pål Moe, Craig Terry, Matthew Horner, Peggy Marmuth and Tobias Truniger, among others.

New York Dramatic Voices is excited to announce our 2024 Wagner Winter Intensive. Each artist will work with stage director, Laura Alley (SFO, NYCO), music director, Matthew Lobaugh (WNO, LA Opera), and masterclass technician, Adrienne Boris (UIA); culminating in a staged public performance in the heart of Manhattan. This Winter's repertoire will be Das Rheingold, Scene 1, Parsifal, Act II, Tristan und Isolde, Act II, Scene 2. Each artist receives professional video of their performance. The Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers (WOYS). The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Talent Norway and Shipowner Tom Wilhelmsen’s Foundation are launching a new opera studio for young singers who have recently completed their opera education and are on the threshold of a professional career.  WOYS is founded and artistically managed by Opera Director Randi Stene. From 2024, the studio will play a central role in the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. Every second year WOYS will recruit 4–6 singers who will be full-time salaried employees with the Norwegian National Opera running for two seasons. Age limit of singers entering the studio is 32 years.

The Verbier Festival Academy’s Atelier Lyrique is unique among voice programmes. It offers the study of both opera roles and song repertoire in a supportive and inspiring setting, as well as the opportunity to perform as part of a renowned international festival. The Atelier Lyrique's featured opera in 2024 will be Verdi's Falstaff. Application Deadline: 3 November 2023.

Apply by October 15 for Opera Naples Resident Artists program, January 15-March 10, 2024 in Naples, Florida.  Perform principal and secondary roles in Madama Butterfly and Iolanthe, gaining invaluable  experience and training.   Perform in the Festival Under the Stars under the direction of Maestro Ramón Tebar alonside world renowned artists.   Resident Artists are regularly engaged in daily coachings, community concerts, masterclasses, and workshops.  They receive a stipend and local housing.

Festival Napa Valley's Manetti Shrem Opera Program is a tuition-free intensive opera training program offering advanced study and performance opportunities for vocalists and pianists from college to recent graduates in the idyllic setting of Napa Valley. Participants will study under the guidance of renowned faculty, guest artists, conductors and soloists. Performance opportunities include a semi-staged opera scenes performance with orchestra, a fully-staged opera performance (Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail), recitals, and more! Tuition: $0. Application fee: $65. Housing: Single hotel rooms provided. Registration Deposit: $365 (refunded upon arrival in Napa). Average of two meals per day provided. $500 travel stipend provided.
