In her Master Class Raina Kabaivanska works on improving the vocal technique and actor’s interpretation of the participants in pieces chosen by themselves. The most successful graduates perform in a Gala concert with the orchestra of Sofia Opera and Ballet. The participants with the best achievements are awarded scholarships from Raina Kabaivanska Fund at NBU for further training in Italy. The NTD International Chinese Vocal Competition will be held at Merkin Hall in Kaufman Music Center in New York from September 18th to the 21st, 2024. The gold award winner will receive $10,000. The competition specially invited vocalists from the world-famous Shen Yun Performing Arts Company to serve as judges. Contestants will have the opportunity to be selected, on-site, to perform later with the world-renowned performing arts company—to tour the world singing on the most prestigious stages, fulfilling an artist's dream. The repertoire includes arias from Western opera, Chinese classical songs, and art songs. We welcome Chinese vocal artists, vocal teachers, vocal students and other professional vocalists aged 18-50 to apply!
