Following the great success from the previous years, OCAVA announces the OCAVA-in-Rome 2016 Summer Program for singers in Rome, Italy. The carefully chosen young vocal artists from the United States and abroad will come to Rome to work closely with an internationally renowned faculty on this intensive three-week program that combines daily voice lessons, master classes, lectures/workshops, group discussions, public concerts, and Italian language study. This three-week program is open to high school and college students/graduates, and accomplished amateurs who want to develop performance skills, expand repertoire, improve vocal technique, and actively participate in music making and performances in a highly professional atmosphere. Apply for a training program where you get more. At Brooklyn Opera Institute (BOI) there will be a masterclass, coachings, lessons and... you will have a solo role in Mozart's wonderful Le Nozze Di Figaro. It will be fully staged production with orchestra, sets and costumes. This program is designed for the singers who are ready to start their careers. Musical rehearsals are with a coach from Italy. International Heldentenor John Horton Murray will teach. Each participant will receive a DVD of the opera and their arias. In this opera every part has an aria.
