The 51st edition of the International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch (IVC) will be held 8 – 17 September 2016. Ten festive days of vocal splendor at the 'Theater aan de Parade' with young and talented singers performing Opera, Oratorio and Lied repertoire.
The IVC offers participants the chance to perform for an international jury, casting directors, concert managements, impresarios, the media and a concert loving audience.
The jury is composed of prominent singers, such as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Elly Ameling, Jennifer Larmore, Christianne Stotijn, Sergei Leiferkus and Robert Holl as well as artistic directors, such as Peter de Caluwe, Intendant La Monnaie Brussels and Joel Ethan Fried, director artistic administration of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam. President of the jury is Dominique Meyer, director of the Vienna State Opera.
This year’s total prize money amounts to € 45,000 and various engagement prizes are also offered.
The competition includes masterclasses, media training, jury feedback, plus a career development program. Travel refund for (semi-)finalists and accommodation at host families.
The IVC is open to singers of all nationalities.

Repertoire Lied Duo: Three or four songs from at least two stylistic periods in at least three languages
Application fee: Preliminary Rounds € 35 Opera | Oratorio, € 50 Lied Duo (per duo)
Competition proper: € 130 Opera | Oratorio, € 150 Lied Duo, € 200 both categories
