The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is accepting applications for its upcoming season in paradise. The 2018 season features Handel’s Alcina, Adamo’s Little Women, and Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. Mark Adamo is the Composer in Residence and will be coaching singers. Professional fellowships, scholarships, and work-study positions are available for qualifying applicants. Students will perform a role in one of the MainStage productions, receive lessons, coachings, and classes in acting, movement, and audition preparation. Miami Wagner Institute live audition application deadline is 2 days away on November 29th! TUITION-FREE PROGRAM! The Miami Wagner Institute is an elite young artist program and the first of its kind specifically for Wagnerian dramatic and lyric-in- transition singers. The Institute provides training as well as professional-level performance opportunities that prepare singers for the unique demands of the Wagnerian and dramatic repertoire. During this intensive program, participants prepare and perform with faculty in a staged and costumed Wagnerian production with orchestra, while undertaking a curriculum of voice instruction, coachings, and masterclasses. Faculty of the Miami Wagner Institute include Christine Goerke, Alan Held, Robert Morrison and Michael Rossi.

In fully staged opera productions, masterclasses, workshops and regular lessons DNOA students learn to be inventive singing actors who are well prepared for the many challenges of the professional field. Le Nozze di Figaro February 6 – March 7, 2018. Now in our 11th year, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar is a comprehensive opera training program for emerging professional singers considering a career in Europe, with a focus on the German theater system. Participants will sing a full role in Le Nozze di Figaro with chamber orchestra. We offer intensive training in singing, movement, rehearsal process and role study, master classes, individual lessons, stagecraft instruction, and daily German language training.
