Glimmerglass Opera's Musical Theatre applications are up!

Applications for musical theatre perfomers for the Glimmerglass Festival's Young Artists Program are being accepted now through February 27, 2013. If you are granted an audition, the audition will be held Monday, March 4, in New York City. Members of the Young Artists Program sing principal and supporting roles, cover all roles in mainstage productions (except where noted), sing in the chorus, are presented in concerts and cabarets, receive weekly coachings, participate in master classes, and perform in the community. Young Artists will also have the privilege of working with 2013 Artists in Residence, Nathan & Julie Gunn. Apply today!

Palm Beach Opera Young Artist Program Application live: deadline is February 15!

The Palm Beach Opera Young Artist Program is a stepping stone to a successful career as an opera singer for post-graduate and emerging singers. During their five-month residency in Palm Beach they develop and polish essential stagecraft and performance skills, aided by musical and career guidance from Palm Beach Opera’s experienced artistic staff. The application is now live and the deadline is February 15, 2013. Auditions will be held in March in New York.

Houston Grand Opera's Young Artists' Vocal Academy (YAVA) application is open!

HGO’s Young Artists’ Vocal Academy was established in 2011 to work specifically with singers at the undergraduate level. The week–long course is held on-site at HGO, and all fees, room and board is covered by the opera company. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2013, and auditions are by recording only.

The Florentine Opera Studio provides season-long, comprehensive artist-in-residence employment for talented singers beginning their professional careers, while serving the mainstage, education and outreach goals of the Florentine Opera Company. The deadline to apply is February 8, 2013 and auditions will be in Milwaukee in March.
