Venice Bel Canto Festival

This is an exclusive one-week master class for only 10 students in one of the most enchanting cities in the world and the birthplace of opera. It will take place this August with renowned international tenor Bruce Ford, bel canto specialist Ken Querns Langley, and coaches Roberto Bertuzzi from La Fenice opera house in Venice, and Janus Araghipour. Lessons will take place Monday to Friday and will include 2 hours of Italian each day, singing lessons and coaching sessions each day, as well as rehearsals.
There will be a concert on Saturday 14 July 2018 and an amazing evening 'cast party' on a boat in the magnificent Canal Grande where we will be front row to observe the stunning fireworks display of La Festa del Redentore di Venezia! It is the most magical evenings of the year in Venice, and far surpasses Mardi Gras and grandeur and beauty.
You will have private access to your teachers in a way that no other program can offer. This is an exclusive private program for very few lucky students. You professors will design a specialized week for you training. The course fee is £1,250 plus your lodging expenses.
Venice Italy is a city of dreams and of romance. Nothing is more inspiring than to walk the canals or to sit in Piazza San Marco when you come to Venice study singing. Staring in summer 2018 we will be inaugurating a Bel Canto festival that will incorporate Historically Informed Singing Practice to the Bel Canto Vocal Ensemble by assembling musicians who will perform on periods instruments in the performance of operatic works of Vivaldi, Händel, Mozart, Rossini, Bellini & Donizetti as well some of the lesser known composers. Workshops in Venice will be focused on learning how to perform operatic works with Historically Informed style of the bel canto era.
