Program Details
COVID-19 Considerations: It is now anticipated with vaccines being distributed worldwide that we will be able to hold a live program in July, 2021. We will take every precaution to keep everyone safe and healthy during the program. Should circumstances require us to move online, UVAA has a unique, online alternative that can be implemented that will include digitally produced, complete performances of both operas and virtual versions of all program offerings. We are optimistic, however, that this will not be necessary.
Program Dates: July 5-31, 2021
Location: Orem, UT (Noorda Center for the Performing Arts on Utah Valley University campus and other local locations)
Applications: Priority deadline is February 10th, 2021, however we will accept applications until all roles are filled.
Application requirements: Applicants should prepare (2) contrasting opera arias for online video submission. Please make sure that the audio and video are of a good quality. Video should be close enough to see facial expressions if possible. Studio recorded (mixed and sound engineered) videos are not acceptable. We are looking for live, unmixed singing.

Program Costs
Full participant: $2,500* (Includes a role in a main stage opera, participation in master classes and acting classes, 3 private coachings per week, other performances as scheduled)
Chorus only: $2,000* (Includes choral assignment in main stage operas, 2 coachings per week, master classes, acting classes)
Auditor: $1,000* (Attendance at all master classes, acting classes, performances)
*Housing, transportation, and food costs for out of state participants are not included. UVAA has an agreement with a nearby apartment complex that is very affordable. The cost usually ranges from $400-550 depending on the particular accommodations and utilities desired.
