Apply by March 20: Schmidt Vocal Institute (SVI) 2023!

The Schmidt Vocal Institute (SVI) nurtures and mentors the development of talented high school singers who wish to pursue studies in music performance or education. The curriculum focuses on training singers to have a healthy technique, improved musicianship, and outstanding performance skills.  

2023 Participants of SVI will receive:

• Master Classes or private coachings with distinguished guest faculty Elizabeth Futral (Peabody), Anthony Dean Griffey (Eastman), and Joseph Li (MN Opera)
• Yoga & Performance Anxiety Workshop with Katherine Jolly (Oberlin)
• Private voice lessons and coachings with SVI Resident Faculty
• Courses in Acting, Lyric Diction, Vocal Health, AT & more
• Two public performances
• Ticket to Cincinnati Opera's Lucia di Lammermoor
