The Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy (www.sg-imfa.com) offers two separate but combinable programs:
(1) OPERA AUDITION TRAINING: open to singers ready to embark on a professional career. Master classes taught by industry professionals with casting/managerial power. 2015 guests include: Matthew Horner (IMG artists, NYC), Sebastian Schwarz (Theater an der Wien), Alain Perroux (Festival d'Aix-en-Provence) and Bodo Busse (Landestheater Coburg). Internationally acclaimed singers configure the rest of the roster: Edda Moser, Petra Lang, Olga Mykytenko, etc. This opportunity may be combined with our:
(2) ART SONG SUMMER PROGRAM: Study German Lied, French mélodie, Italian, Spanish, English, American, Russian, Czech and Scandinavian art song with world-leading singers and pianists, including: KS Francisco Araiza, Helmut Deutsch, Roger Vignoles, Julius Drake, Rudolf Jansen, Carlos Montané, Greta Benini, Ladislav Elgr, Elena Gorshunova, Edward Bak, Falko Hönisch and Dr. Emilio Pons amongst many others.
Amidst the breathtaking UNESCO Upper Middle Rhein Valley, lessons take place in a beautiful 1892 villa on the bank of the Rhine river. Optional accommodation in the villa is possible for up to 12 students per session.
The *one-week* opera program includes 8 voice lessons and 2 master classes and career advice sessions taught by internationally active singers and agents.
The *two-week* art song program includes 16 voice lessons, 2 master classes, and 16 hours of diction training.
TUITION:
Opera: €660 per one week session
Art song: €1320 per two week session.
Participants of both opera and art song (three weeks total) are eligible for a 10% discount on both programs.
