Russian Opera Workshop is a private and independent training program in summer residence at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. Undergraduate and graduate voice/opera majors, and emerging professionals are encouraged to apply. Selected by an audition process, participating artists come to Russian Opera Workshop from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Asia and Europe.

All artists receive Russian language training, vocal coaching, and perform in vocal and professional development master classes. In the past, our master class faculty included Angela Meade, Stephen Costello, Florence Quivar, Benita Valente, Sally Wolf, Thor Eckert, and Sandra Hormozi. At the end of each training session all artists perform in a Russian Romances concert and a complete Russian opera.
