Opera Studio "The Marriage of Figaro" by W. A. Mozart
REGULATIONS
ART. 1 – Audition for the opera "The Marriage of Figaro": The Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera announces an open audition for lyric singers of all nationalities up to a maximum of 35 years for sopranos and tenors, and 37 years for mezzo-sopranos, baritones, contraltos, and basses, to participate in the opera studio with the debut of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "The Marriage of Figaro." The staged performances will take place at the Teatro Comunale in San Giovanni in Persiceto (BO) on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, 2024, with the possibility of additional performances at other Italian and foreign theaters. Access to the audition is only possible by completing the online registration form on the Academy's website by March 31, 2024, at 12:00 PM https://parideventuriacademy.com/en/nozze-di-figaro-eng/ with the following information:
Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, Residence/Domicile, Vocal Register, YouTube link featuring an aria for the role being auditioned for, Phone Number, Email Address, Identification Document, Curriculum Vitae, Payment Receipt, Consent for the Processing of Personal Data.

Two casts will be formed using the provided information.
ART. 2 – Preliminaries and Conduct of Auditions
The pre-selections will take place online through the submission of a YouTube link containing an Aria of the role for which one is auditioning. If the role does not have an aria, another aria from the Mozart repertoire must be submitted. Candidates must also know the entire role for which they are auditioning by heart. The admitted candidates will be notified by March 31, 2024.
The second phase, in person, will take place on April 20 and 21, 2024, at the Teatro Centofiori in Bologna, Via Massimo Gorki, 16. Candidates must memorize the entire role for which they are auditioning. In this stage, 22 (twenty-two) singers will be selected to form two casts. Candidates will be personally notified via email. In case of schedule changes, candidates will be promptly informed.
ART. 3 – Ranking The 22 selected candidates for the two casts will be announced on the evening of the audition day.
ART. 4 – Judging Committee The Judging Committee will consist of the Paride Venturi Academy's board. The Committee reserves the right to offer a role different from the one presented by the candidate.
ART. 5 – Audition Program and Registration Procedure The registration process involves completing and signing an online form on the Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera website https://parideventuriacademy.com/en/nozze-di-figaro-eng/, along with the required documentation.
• The preselection registration fee is 30 euros and must be paid concurrently with registration.
• If admitted to the final in-person phase, the additional cost is 50 euros. Both fees must be paid by bank transfer to the account held by the Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera.
• The fee of 300 euros to be paid after the final to participate in the study work once selected for the role.

ART. 6 – Attendance of the Opera Studio on "Le nozze di Figaro." Access to the Opera studio is subject to the audition ranking. Participants are required to pay a fee of 300.00 euros for participation. Attendance is mandatory for all 22 participants, and failure to attend may result in exclusion from the project. The Opera Studio will last for 10 days, starting from April 22, 2024, until April 30, with general rehearsals on May 2, 2024. The opera will be performed at the Teatro Comunale di San Giovanni in Persiceto (BO) on May 3 and 4, 2024.
ART. 7 – Faculty Group and Educational Activities The faculty group will include experts in singing, directing, and vocal preparation. All participants are entitled to attend all scheduled activities, with any travel, meals, and accommodation expenses at the participants' cost. The organization will provide lists of affiliated restaurants and accommodation options in apartments with costs borne by the participants.
ART. 8 and 9 – Free Commitment and Treatment of Personal Data Participants commit to performing all activities related to the Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera free of charge. The regulations are legally valid in the Italian language. The personal data provided will be processed for the purposes of managing the audition and the Paride Venturi International Academy of Opera.
ART. 10 – Competent Jurisdiction In case of disputes, the only competent jurisdiction is the Bologna Court.
