Opera Saratoga: Deadline September 12!
Opera Saratoga has just announced the three operas that will make up the company’s 2016 Summer Festival: Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Il Postino (Catán), and the American premiere of The Witches of Venice (an opera-ballet by Philip Glass). Principal, supporting and cover role assignments are available for singers in the recently expanded Young Artist Program, which also includes opportunities for pianists/coaches, conductors and directors.
2016 SEASON INFORMATION
Three main stage productions will be presented during the summer of 2016:
• LE NOZZE DI FIGARO (Mozart / Da Ponte): Conductor – Andrew Bisantz; Director – David Paul
• IL POSTINO (Catán): Conductor – James Lowe; Director – Lawrence Edelson
• THE WITCHES OF VENICE (Glass / Montresor) – American Premiere: Conductor – Viswa Subbaraman; Director/Choreographer – Karole Armitage
Members of the young artist program will cover all roles in all three operas, and will also be cast in the following roles:

Program dates: May 22-July 17, 2016.
Auditions in Cincinnati Nov.10; Houston Nov.12; and NYC Nov.16-18.
Application Deadline is September 12th.
