Miami Classical Music Festival is happy to announce that we have developed a hybrid festival that includes both Virtual and In-person opportunities for our participants for this summer, 2021. The festival will consist of a 2-week virtual session and a 2 week in-person session in Miami Beach and will produce the operas Cendrillon and Albert Herring. The virtual session will give our participants the opportunity to study with our faculty and prepare for their upcoming roles and the in-person session will be a rehearsal intensive to produce and perform our opera productions.
Throughout the in-person portion of MCMF, we will follow rigorous safety guidelines designed specifically for us by performing arts industry professionals. Face coverings, temperature and wellness checks, routine sanitization of venues, and physical distancing will help you stay healthy and do your best work as an artist.
To adhere to physical distancing guidelines, we have secured large rehearsal spaces at the Miami Beach Community Church and Miami Beach Woman’s Club, with performances at the Faena Forum. The Faena is one of Miami’s premiere spaces and will allow us to stage our opera performances safely for both our participants and audience members.
