The Loyola Dramatic Voice Symposium brings together world-renowned artists and teachers in the field of opera to present master classes and lectures for young dramatic singers and for teachers of voice. Full registration includes two days of professional development culminating in a final performance of the guest artists.
Loyola's Dramatic Voice Symposium will have a limited number of masterclass spots this year. Anyone can attend but only sixteen selected singers will be able to participate in the masterclasses.
At the end of the symposium, the guest artists will confer and award two $1000 Encouragement awards. The award recipients will also perform on the September 18th Opera Gala with the guest artists. In order to qualify for the award, participants must attend the entirety of the symposium.
This year, symposium artsists include Luretta Bybee, Clifton Forbis, Greer Grimsley, Gordon Hawkins, Amy Johnson, Carol Rausch, Tyler Smith, and Vanessa Uzan.
An Earlybird registration discount is available until August 1st! Video audition materials must be submitted by August 5th, and masterclass participants will be notified by August 10th.
