Next Live Audition for the International Lyric Academy in Italy
The International Lyric Academy is a unique opportunity for students and emerging artists; during an intensive month, they receive professional coachings, voice lessons and participate in a full range of classes, masterclasses, concerts, recitals and rehearsals culminating in four fully staged performances of “FALSTAFF” by G.Verdi with the Festival’s Symphony Orchestra. There will be also the Italian Opera Program, a special session dedicated to the opera scenes from Donizetti’s, Verdi’s and Mozart’s Opera repertoire (with Orchestra Ensemble) with the opportunity to study throughly the role with Italian coaches and maestros and, at the end, to perform in several concerts.

2014 REPERTOIRE: Verdi FALSTAFF, Mozart REQUIEM K.626, Schubert SYMPHONY #5, Mozart CLARINET CONCERT K.622, VERDI & DONIZETTI GALA, MOZART GALA, HAENDEL & VIVALDI GALA, Schumann PIANO QUINTETT OP.44, Beethoven PIANO QUINTET OP.16, Beethoven STRING QUARTET Op.18, Mozart PIANO QUARTET K.478., Mozart PIANO QUINTET K.452, SCHUBERT OCTET D.803, Brahms PIANO QUARTET OP.25, Brahms PIANO QUINTET OP.34. Singers will be offered coachings, repertoire and diction coaching, Italian lessons, masterclasses, acting, training for auditions, and career strategy. Instrumentalists will be offered to play in a professional Orchestra and in several Chamber music Concerts.
POSITIONS: (Singers) Leading roles, supporting roles, soloists, cover understudy, ensemble and chorus. (Instrumentalists) Orchestra, piano accompanists. (Apprentices) Assistants Conductor, Assistant Director, Technicals.
OPPORTUNITIES: full Opera productions with professional Orchestra, Opera in concert with piano and instrumentalists ensemble, recitals, masterclasses, Sacred works with Orchestra, Chamber music.
The Artistic Direction of the Festival will take best Artists in consideration for auditions with important international agencies and artist managements.

LOCATION: Historical places and Courtyards, Piazza dei Papi and Churches in Viterbo, Rome and Bolsena.
FEE and COSTS: An initial $40.00 (non refundable) Audition Fee is due at the time of the audition or included with audition tapes mailed in for review.
HOTELS: Academy full tuition includes all classes and accomodations at the marvellous and renowned Balletti Palace Hotel. All rooms have bathroom and include daily maid service and breakfast. Single occupancy rooms are avalaible for an additional cost and must be reserved at the time of the first deposit is due. Lunch and dinner are not included.
ROUNDTRIPS: Roundtrip from and per airport is not complementary and needs to be reserved
TOURS: Rome, Florence, Bolsena, Civita di Bagnoregio, Bomarzo under request are not complementary.
INSURANCE: All participants must have health insurance in effect during the time period of the Academy. The ILAR can recommend a travel insurance company should you need assistance.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available; we offer both merit and need based scholarship.
AUDITIONS: Auditions for Singers, Ensemble, Chorus, Apprentices, Pianists, Conductors and Instrumentalists are required. Live Auditions or Audition tapes (recorded in the last year) accepted for review. Audition fee is $ 40.00 (non-refundable) at the time of audition or enclosed with audition tape.
