International Lyric Academy 2023: jump start your career!
Charlotte (North Carolina), June 19 - July 9 / Vicenza (Italy), July 10 - 23
International Lyric Academy is celebrating 29 years of success by partnering with Opera Carolina. In 2023, ILA will offer a 5-week program that will start in Charlotte, NC on June 19 and continue in Vicenza, Italy. Students will be offered a unique life experience and the possibility to perform in both countries, including special bundled discounts and scholarships. During the program, participants from across the world receive professional coachings, voice lessons, masterclasses, concerts, recitals and rehearsals culminating in 2 performances of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO by W. A. Mozart (full Opera production) and in 2 performances of J. Offenbach’s LES CONTES D’ HOFFMANN (semi-staged production). Both productions will be performed also in Italy. Meet world-class directors, voice teachers, conductors, and leading Artists managers from all around the world. Don't miss the opportunity to audition and be cast in the next Season of Opera Carolina and make a direct jump from being a full-time student to launching a full-time professional career.
ILA 2023 also presents the MOZART MARATHON, an Opera Gala with Orchestra, for 12 select singers who will perform arias and duets from Mozart’s operatic repertoire.
The OPERA SCENES PROGRAM, accompanied by the piano, will offer a great opportunity to the younger singer to perform in front of a real audience and strengthen their skills as future professional Artists.
