The Handel Aria Competition 2020: Deadline April 1

The Handel Aria Competition was created to promote the performance of Handel’s vast vocal repertoire. The final round will take place on Friday June 5, 2020 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Mead Witter School of Music, accompanied by an ensemble of period instruments.  

Contestants must be 18-35 years old as of the day of the finals. Past finalists are eligible to audition, with the exception of first prize winners.

David Ronis, Director of Opera at UW-Madison Mead-Witter School of Music
Alessandra Visconti, Italian coach at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Northwestern University
