Deadline March 15: Druid City Opera Workshop 2021

Directed by Paul Houghtaling, the Druid City Opera Workshop is an intensive opera training and young artists program, offering a range of performance opportunities for singers, apprentice coach/pianists, and apprentice stage directors.

May 16-21, 2021 – ONLINE … a virtually explosive week!

• A rich and rewarding variety of experiences and training will be offered in an online format for five days.
• Classes in acting, yoga, movement, improvisation, and music business will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Central Time, with private musical and dramatic coachings on some evenings.
• The program begins with a Zoom meet-and-greet on Sunday evening, May 16.
• The program ends on Friday evening, May 21 with an online aria concert with all 20 participants performing the aria they coached during the week.

The application is free and easy - resume, headshot, and two recordings.  Ten years of in-person training has prepared the Druid City Opera Workshop faculty exceptionally well for an exciting virtual learning and performance experience. Join us, May 16-21 on Zoom, for a week of singing and sharing and expanding your network. The week will include classes in acting, movement, yoga, improvisation, and the business of singing, in addition to one-on-one virtual dramatic and musical coachings.  The experience will end with an online aria concert - open to all - on Friday evening, May 21.
