EMERGING PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
July 2-21, 2018 • California State University, Los Angeles

- is a three-week summer program for exceptional emerging professional singers (all voice types are welcome)
- is an intensive opera workshop with a focus on performing and career positioning
- features leading roles in Bernstein’s Candide, a fully staged production with professional orchestra at the state-of-the-art theatre “A Noise Within," and solo/ensemble songs in “Carried Away! The Songs of Leonard Bernstein”
- provides a full tuition waiver, a stipend and free housing

STUDIO ARTISTS PROGRAM
June 24 – July 28, 2018 • California State University, Los Angeles

- is a five-week summer program for collegiate level singers (advanced high school singers may also be considered)
- is an intensive opera workshop with a focus on music, acting and career launching
- features leading roles in Opera Potpourri, fully staged extended scenes from celebrated operas with professional chamber orchestra, supporting/ensemble roles in Bernstein’s Candide and solo/ensemble songs in “Carried Away! The Songs of Leonard Bernstein”
- provides an opportunity to create a complete professional audition package, including promotional materials and portfolio, fine tuning your audition repertoire, mock auditions with instant feedback and a recording session resulting in a polished, professional audition video

- Interactive master classes
- "The 21st Century Singer” workshop
- Acting & Movement for the stage, including specialty classes in Commedia dell’Arte and Stage Combat.

APPLICATION
Singers may choose to apply to both the Emerging Professional Program and the Studio Artists Program.

AUDITIONS
Please prepare the following repertoire:

→ Emerging Professional Artists
- Five (5) arias or art songs. One piece must be in English.
- Monologue

→ Studio Artists
Two (2) contrasting selections: one piece must be in a foreign language + one piece must be an opera aria

LIVE AUDITIONS
An accompanist will be provided for all auditions.

VIDEO AUDITIONS
Video auditions are accepted. Please upload good quality video clips to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.
Successful candidates will be invited to a Skype interview.

- Tuition: $2,400. We understand what it takes to invest in your career and we want to help! After enrollment, all participants will receive a list with Angels Vocal Art’s unique fundraising ideas, which will be further developed and personalized during The 21st Century Singer workshop.
- A non-refundable $500 deposit is due upon acceptance into the program.
