Application deadline - March 10, 2017. Following the great success from the previous four years, OCAVA announces the 5th OCAVA-in-Rome 2017 Summer Program for singers in Rome, Italy. The young vocal artists from the United States and abroad will come to Rome to work with an internationally renowned faculty on this intensive 3-week program that combines daily voice lessons and Italian language classes, weekly master classes, lectures/workshops, group discussions, and three public concerts. This 3-week program is open to high school and college students/graduates, and accomplished amateurs who want to develop performance skills, improve vocal technique, and actively participate in music making and performances in a highly professional atmosphere.

Taos Opera Institute is a month-long intensive program designed to bridge the gap between academia and apprenticeships for the emerging young vocal artist. TOI was founded in 2007 we are taking applications for our 10th season! Our philosophy focuses on integrating and improving your technique, your physical and mental well being, and your artistry. 28 singers will be chosen to participate in interactive sessions with distinguished guests and professional artists, focusing on competition psychology, performance anxiety, audition strategies, stage deportment, dramatic interpretation and vocal stability. Connecticut Lyric Opera is accepting applications for the 3rd season of their summer program in Italy, the Greve Opera Academy. Auditions will be held on March 3 in NYC; links to recordings may be submitted, but live auditions are strongly encouraged. This 4 week program running from June 12 - July 8 is designed for emerging professional artists and university level singers providing the opportunity to perform in two fully staged productions with orchestra - TOSCA and COSI FAN TUTTE. Additional instruction in Italian, professional development, acting and stagecraft are included along with an international vocal competition, while living in Greve-in-Chianti in the heart of Tuscany provides its own rewarding experiences.
