The Resonanz Opera 2019 Big Voices Singing Artists Program – Apply by March 15th! Richard Wagner’s “Die Walküre” Act 3. Audition Dates: Mentor, OH TBA; Video Auditions are Preferred! The Program Goals: The Singing Artists Program was established by Resonanz Opera for singers seeking vocal study who want to bring their talent to the mainstage. The program was created to provide formal vocal education and the professional development of emerging opera singers at all stages of their career. Through this program Resonanz Opera also brings the national opera scene and local talent together with the Singing Artists and the program faculty.

Opera and Song in Oregon's Wine Country: Aquilon Music Festival 2019

Aquilon Music Festival is currently accepting applications from aspiring young artists. Located on the grounds of Linfield College in the heart of the picturesque Willamette Valley in Oregon's wine country, Aquilon is an intensive 3-week program dedicated to education and rediscovery of the forgotten works of the past. The highlights of the 2019 season include a fully-staged production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute," art song recitals, winery concerts, galas, scene programs, and more! Deadline Approaching: 2019 Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition

Deadline Approaching: Apply Today for the 2019 Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition. The Jensen Foundation supports America’s most promising young opera professionals with its annual Vocal Competition. Singers compete for their share of $41,500 in awards, including a $15,000 First Place award. The 2019 competition takes place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in New York City May 13-18. The singing environment is well-organized and supportive with professional accompanists and preliminary judges. Twelve finalists are chosen to perform before the Finals Judges who are distinguished in the world of opera. After the competition, finalists may request feedback from the judges. Apply by Sunday, March 17 to join us in New York this May!

Greve Opera Academy 2019: apply now!

CT Lyric Opera and the CT Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra are pleased to announce the 5th Season of their summer program, the Greve Opera Academy and Music Festival in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Running from June 10 - July 6, the Academy will feature fully staged productions with orchestra of Puccini's Suor Angelica & Gianni Schicchi as well as other concerts and recitals in Greve and Florence. The Academy also includes excursions, Italian language, vocal technique, coachings, acting and more, including masterclasses with world-renowned soprano Katia Ricciarelli. Many participants have gone on to perform with CLO back in the US in main-stage or Young Artist Program productions. Live auditions in NYC as well as submitted materials accepted.

Auditions for the 2019 Manhattan Opera Studio are approaching. Apply NOW! This year the Manhattan Opera Studio will be producing a full version with orchestra of Wagner's Die Walküre. We are proud to be the first and only young artist program to perform a full Wagnerian opera. In addition we will be performing Mozart's The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro and Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. Selected singers will participate in a concert at Carnegie Hall, masterclasses with some of the most prestigious agents of New York City, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and music coachings.
