Welcome to the International Opera Masterclass in the Czech Republic! The masterclass will be held in Ceske Budejovice from the 10th to the 17th of July of 2020. The curriculum is focused on improving vocal techniques featured in classical and romantic styles. Participants will work with leading opera singers from a diverse set of prestigious operas ranging from the National Theatre in Prague, the Mariinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg to the New York Metropolitan Opera. All rehearsals and the final concert with the professional orchestra will be video recorded. Operas by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Dvorak, and Smetana are listed in the repertoire. More here. The Cooper-Bing International Vocal Competition is open to professional and pre-professional singers who have completed, or are engaged in completing, a musical education suitable for the operatic stage. To be eligible, singers must be between the ages of 22 and 35 on the day of the finals (May 3, 2020). Current full-time employees of Opera Columbus and past Cooper-Bing Competition finalists are ineligible to audition. The Halifax Summer Opera Festival is Canada's largest summer opera festival and educational workshop. We're a friendly, supportive program that focuses on empowering young artists with practical stage experience. We are now entering our second round of casting. We invite singers to apply for our 16th season, for available roles in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Blow's Venus and Adonis, Poulenc's Les dialogues des carmélites and Weill's Threepenny Opera. We're also offering an Art Song Intensive combined with chorus work in Carmelites. July 18 to August 16, 2020. This is a two-year program designed for singers to transition from academia to a national and/or international performing career.  The TCU Artist Diploma program offers weekly individualized voice instruction, vocal coaching, language/diction seminars, acting training and performance opportunities in opera, concert and solo repertoire.  In the final semester of study, Artist Diploma candidates receive digital press kits and present a showcase in New York City for casting directors, agents and industry professionals.   Auditions in New York and Fort Worth happening now! Opera Colorado is currently accepting Bass-Baritone/Bass applications for the 2020-2021 Artist in Residence Program. The 20-21 season will include roles in our Touring and Mainstage Productions: The Barber of Seville, The Pirates of Penzance, The Shining, Cavalleria Rusticana and Carmen. Along with being involved in each of these productions, the Artists in Residence will be engaged to sing additional concerts and performances all over the state of Colorado.
