Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is set in one of the world's most unique and inspiring settings, the Big Island of Hawaii. Our outstanding faculty and artistic staff lead an intensive study/performance program with participating singers showcasing their talent as they take on a role in one of our fully staged productions. This summer, we will present The Magic Flute and Into the Woods. Participants are immersed in vocal lessons, musical coachings, dramatic coachings, and Hawaiian cultural exploration. The Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition http://solocomp.org Application deadline February 1, 2023, Fee $30. Late applications by February 15, 2023, Fee $60. Semi Finals April 1, 2023 in NYC. Finals April 15, 2023 at 1:30 in Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. In 1977 the Oratorio Society of New York inaugurated an annual Solo Competition designed to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give talented young singers an opportunity to advance their careers. The Competition has become international in scope and well-known in the music world, and is the only major competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing. $22,000 in cash prizes. Age Limit 40 years - must be born after Jan. 1, 1983. Open to singers who are early in their oratorio career.

Opera Singers Academy, Teatro di San Carlo Opera House, Naples Selection for the admission to the Opera Singers Academy courses of Teatro di San Carlo for the 2023-2025 biennium. The principal teacher and testimonial of the course is Soprano Mariella Devia. Teachers and instructors will include very important voices and world wide renowned conductors, directors and scholars. Enrolled students will be admitted to show rehearsals for observation, if approved by the theater’s management and, if particularly talented, they may be professionally involved in some artistic productions. Operating out of Haliburton, Ontario (Canada), since being established in 2007 by internationally acclaimed tenor, Richard Margison, Highlands Opera Studio is a five week summer professional training & development program for a select number of highly advanced emerging operatic artists. Accepting only 20 participants, it’s a unique cutting edge resource geared to the individual artist, assisting singers & pianists make the transition into the professional world, through one-on-one training & professional networking opportunities with top leaders in the opera industry. Performance opportunities include 2-3 fully staged operas, 5-6 concerts, 3-4 Masterclasses, and multiple community concerts.

Manhattan Opera Studio is holding auditions for the 2023 Summer Festival. Selected singers will sing a fully staged opera with the MOS orchestra. We are casting all roles for Mozart's Magic Flute and Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel. Additionally, all singers will participate in a gala concert in the prestigious Carnegie Hall. There will be masterclasses with some of the most renowned opera agents in NYC, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and coachings in music and diction.
