It's the most wonderful time of the year...time to start thinking about your Fall audition packets. Have you scheduled your recording session yet? If not, it's time! In our continued quest to help singers make their audition packet shine, we asked Jeremy Gerard, Chief Recording Engineer at Gurari Studios, for his top tips on getting the most out of your audition recording session.
Virginia Opera will be accepting applications for their 2015-16 season through YAP Tracker again this season. Auditions will be held in New York in December. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2014, but audition slots for this popular program can fill up quickly. Be sure to get your materials in early!
The Brava! Opera Theater and James M. Collier Young Artist Program Vocal Competition application for the October 18, 2014 auditions is now live on YAP Tracker! Prizes total $5,000 with auditions in San Francisco, CA. The deadline is September 11, 2014.
The Shreveport Opera Singer of the Year competition application is now up on YAP Tracker. Want a chance to earn prize money, a possible role with a terrific opera company and the title of Singer of the Year? The deadline to apply is January 8 and the competition will take place in Shreveport in March 2015.

The American University of Rome is proud to announce the inaugural session of the Summer Vocal Institute program: June 2 - 28, 2014, in collaboration with renowned American opera singer Marilyn Horne.
