What is an audition swap?

Does your audition time conflict with another commitment? Prefer a time later in the day? Wondering iif anyone else would like to swap? YAP Tracker offers an audition swapping feature to ensure that you are able to make all of your auditions.

Does YAP Tracker arrange the swap with the company?

No. YAP Tracker provides this feature as a tool to help singers find a swap, but we are not involved in any other way. You must contact the company to request the option to swap and to report and confirm your new time.

PLEASE NOTE: The existence of this feature is no guarantee that a company will allow audition swapping. Contact the company before registering a swap request - they may already have a better time available for you, or they may not be willing to honor a swap. Either way, keeping in contact with the company at all stages will avoid any miscommunication or confusion surrounding your audition.

I have permission to swap. Now what?

To add a swap request, open the listing for the audition.  Scroll to the Personal Tracking section of the site. If you click the Yes button to the "Did you get an audition?" question, the swap functionality will appear just below it. If you are able to orchestrate a swap, please return to this section of the page to remove the swap request description and to set the "Do you need an audition swap?" information back to "no."

How do I see other swaps that have been posted?

In the full view of the listing for which you'd like to arrange a swap, just above the personal tracking will be a link entitled "Audition swaps" followed by a number, if any swaps have been requested. Click the link to view any available swaps.

Someone else has posted a time that I want - how do I contact them?

Enter a message in the dialogue box that appears below their swap request and click send. They will contact you if interested in swapping.  Again, remember to contact the company before final confirmation to ensure that you have permission to change your time.
