Wolf Trap Opera 2022 - Filene Artists

This application is for Filene Artists applicants only. Please review the listing requirements before submitting. You can find the applications for Coaching and Directing Fellowships and Studio Artists on the open applications page. Please make sure you submit the correct application.

Due to the ongoing complications with Covid-19 and the Delta variant, we understand that not everyone feels safe to travel. Wolf Trap will be accepting a very small number of video auditions for the 2022 company. Please see the steps for a video audition below.

Step 1: Apply as you normally would, selecting “other” as your date preference. Applications are due Friday, September 3.

Step 2: Notifications of video auditions will be sent on Wednesday, September 8. This notification will contain a link to submit a new aria list.

Step 3: Submit your aria list, indicating your chosen “starter” aria, by Monday, September 13.

Step 4: Notification of requested arias from your list will be uploaded to your YAP Tracker application on Friday, September 17.

Step 5: Singers: Record a new video audition and submit the video via YAP Tracker by Monday, October 4.

Step 6: Video applicants will be notified of their status no later than Wednesday, October 27.

FILENE: Offer 4 arias in contrasting styles and languages. You may change audition repertoire after submitting your application. It is not necessary to notify us if you change your repertoire; just bring a copy of the revised list to the audition. You will begin your audition with an aria of your choice. An additional selection may be requested.
