Audition Selections

Audition Selections (required for singers)*

Singers, please list your five arias for the live audition. At least two arias must be in English, and one of the English selections must be by an American composer.

NOTE: Pianists will be required to offer Composer’s Aria (Ariadne auf Naxos, R. Strauss) and No Word from Tom (The Rake’s Progress, Stravinsky) at the live audition. Pianists should list a piano solo and two additional arias played and sung, including one in Italian or French and one from an American opera. Number of selections required: 5.

Audition Location

Applicants will be pre-screened and will be notified within two weeks (but usually earlier) of their status. Applicants who are granted live auditions will be given a link to sign up for a specific audition time on November 28 or 29 in New York City. Applicants who wish to audition in Tulsa should not complete the audition time request form. These applicants will be notified separately to schedule their auditions. There is no additional fee for applicants granted live auditions.
